Alabama Chapter-AAP members and other pediatric healthcare providers, join the Chapter for its signature event, the Spring Meeting & Pediatric Update!  In 2021, we are delighted to come back to the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort for a safe opportunity to see one another and get top-notch pediatric CME at the same time!

A note about the safety and health of our attendees

The Alabama Chapter-AAP is committed to the safety of our participants and will be abiding by ADPH recommendations with regard to social distancing and mask wearing during conference activities. In addition:

  • Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort has, thus far, been very successful since Fall 2020 in hosting safe meetings programs by following its Safe Meeting Practices standards. Those standards include:

    • social distanced spacing in the lecture hall

    • sanitary practices for meals/bars

    • sanitary measures in lectures halls, including hand sanitizing stations

    • mask-wearing by hotel staff and conference attendees (AL-AAP will require the latter).

  • Each Sandestin accommodations unit has its own HVAC system.

  • Sandestin conference staff use wide open spaces layouts, with most activities outside or in open air environments

  • AL-AAP conference activities will be designed to maximize outdoor networking, when possible.
