Alabama Pediatrician Podcast Sponsorship

The Alabama Pediatrician Conversations & Information for Your Practice podcast launched in April 2023 as a way to better communicate with Alabama pediatricians about AL-AAP activities/ opportunities, policies and the latest clinical information from pediatric experts in our state and beyond. The goal of “Alabama Pediatrician” is to provide regular content that is both beneficial and interesting to Alabama pediatricians. In each episode, the hosts interview pediatricians, and other medical and policy experts, who share the latest clinical guidelines, practice management advice, and legislative updates. The episodes also highlight the many resources available around the state for pediatricians.

Frequency of Releases

The Alabama Pediatrician: Conversations & Information for Your Practice releases two-three episodes per month. Episode topics are, by and large, scheduled in advance, however, the hosts reserve the right to add/postpone topics when time-sensitive issues come to the attention of AL-AAP leadership. Advertisers can request timing of advertisements that is of benefit to their organization.

Advertising/Sponsorship Content Placement

At this time, the Alabama Chapter-AAP offers availability of one sponsorship per episode. The sponsorship will consist of organization/company name recognition during the episode introduction and a “baked-in live read” message of up to 30 seconds by the host, meaning that the sponsor’s message will be read live by the host and will remain a permanent part of that episode recording. The live read will occur “mid-roll,” meaning that the advertisement will appear as a “commercial break” in the middle of the podcast. This placement affords sponsors a captive audience that will be most likely to hear the message.

Advertising/Sponsorship Order Deadlines

Sponsorships are available/accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Advertising copy must be received by the first of every month to be considered for episodes released the following month or later.

Sponsorship of four (4) episodes (includes sponsor name mention during introduction and “mid-roll” live read of message of up to 30 seconds) …... $1,000

*Advertisers committing to more than 12 episodes in one calendar year at above rates will receive a 15% discount.

To maintain the integrity of the clinical information provided on the Alabama Pediatrician podcast, the AL-AAP will only consider sponsorship/advertising requests from eligible companies/ organizations, defined as ”those whose primary business is NOT producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.” The AL-AAP does not claim any responsibility for the content of advertising and the acceptance of advertising does not in any way constitute endorsement or approval by the Chapter of a product, service, or company. The AL-AAP reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertising. All advertising copy is subject to approval by the Executive leadership.
