August 2016 Medicaid Funding News Conferences
From August 1 - 5, 2016, the Alabama Chapter, AAP, along with the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, VOICES for Alabama's Children, Children First Foundation, Alabama Arise, the Alabama Hospital Association and many other partners, conducted news conferences in five parts of the state to demonstrate the devastating impacts of Medicaid's August 1, 2016 cut to pediatricians, family physicians and other primary care providers.
