A note about the safety and health of our attendees
The Alabama Chapter-AAP is committed to the safety of our participants and will be abiding by ADPH recommendations with regard to social distancing and mask wearing during conference activities. In addition:
Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort has, thus far, been very successful since Fall 2020 in hosting safe meetings programs by following its Safe Meeting Practices standards. Those standards include:
social distanced spacing in the lecture hall
sanitary practices for meals/bars
sanitary measures in lectures halls, including hand sanitizing stations
mask-wearing by hotel staff and conference attendees (AL-AAP will require the latter).
Each Sandestin accommodations unit has its own HVAC system.
Sandestin conference staff use wide open spaces layouts, with most activities outside or in open air environments
AL-AAP conference activities will be designed to maximize outdoor networking, when possible.
