Alabama Chapter-AAP members and other pediatric healthcare providers, join the Chapter for its signature event, the Spring Meeting & Pediatric Update! In 2023, we are delighted to host pediatricians from throughout the state and region once again at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, this time on Memorial Day weekend! This will be a fantastic time to reconnect with one another and get top-notch pediatric CME at the same time!
This event is made possible in part by a number of supporters, including an AAP educational grant supported by Abbott Nutrition, a proud supporter of the AAP.

Hotel Reservations
Updated 4/21/23: Please note that the room block at The Lodge at Gulf State Park that is being held for the Chapter for the Spring Meeting is sold out. But don’t fear…
If you have not made your reservation yet, we have three options we have worked out for you if you still need a reservation:
Hotel Indigo Orange Beach – This “sister property” backs up to Gulf State Park. We have booked a limited number of overflow rooms at discounted rates that start at $299. Please see this reservation instruction sheet with rates, the online link & phone number, and information on amenities. Note that the reservation cut-off is May 5, 2023.
Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach – This beachfront property is two miles from The Lodge. We have booked a very limited number of overflow rooms (limited beach view) at discounted rates that start at $269. To reserve one of these rooms, please contact Olivia Benboe, Sales Coordinator, directly at 251-974-1600, ext. 7787; she is available M-F, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. CT.
The third option is that The Lodge has a limited number of rooms outside of our room block that they will offer our conference attendees at 20% off of the “rack rate” (a higher rate than our contracted rate). Please contact Linda (llee@alaap.org) or Jill (jpowell@alaap.org) and we will let the hotel know that you would like one of these rooms. Please indicate the nights you wish to stay and room preferences. In checking the site just now, these are very limited.
If you have already made your reservation at The Lodge but find yourself having to cancel a room, please email Linda (llee@alaap.org) or Jill (jpowell@alaap.org) the cancellation in writing and we will contact the hotel with the cancellation so that we can possibly “plug someone in” who wants to stay in our room block.
